In Switzerland, the issue and the content of a pet passport are regulated in the Ordinance on the Import, Transit and Export of Pet Animals (EDAV-Ht) of November 28, 2014. Pet passports that were issued after December 5, 2014 and contain the necessary certificates are also valid for travel to the European Union.
