The Heinrich Frings GmbH & Co. KG in 1878 in Bonn founded. The company is the world market leader for automated systems for vinegar production .
As an international machine and plant construction company for aerobic fermentation plants , it is active in the areas of vinegar technology, general food / beverage technology, biotechnology, chemical engineering and environmental technology.
The development of fermenters with intensive ventilation for oxygen supply made it possible in 1953 to produce vinegar much more effectively in a submerged fermentation in which the vinegar mother is distributed in the liquid. This was the decisive step in the company's history. In 2017, the company moved from Bonn to Rheinbach to meet the growing need for space.
