Heinz-Reiner Treichel

Heinz-Reiner Treichel (born April 23, 1953 ) is a German business economist and university lecturer.

Life

Heinz-Reiner Treichel studied engineering with a focus on printing technology at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and graduated with a degree in engineering. This was followed by a degree in economics and business informatics at the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg , which he graduated with a degree in economics. In 1987 Treichel received his doctorate in Duisburg with his thesis "Exante Evaluation of State Programs for Innovation Promotion."

Treichel worked as a project engineer in Rudolf Hell's company . He was a research assistant and managing director of the Institute for Applied Innovation Research at the Ruhr University in Bochum as well as a research assistant at the Federal Ministry of Research in Bonn. In 1992 he followed a call as a full professor for business administration in information processing companies at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . There he was Vice Dean in the former Faculty 5 . Since 2003 he has been Vice Rector for Structure and Finance. Treichel has been chairman of the Institute for Systems Research in Information, Communication and Media Technology SIKoM since 2013.

Heinz-Reiner Treichel is married and has two children.
