Heinz Feneis

Heinz Feneis (* 1908 ; † 2001 ) was a German anatomist and professor at the University of Tübingen . He gained fame in professional circles as the author of the anatomical picture dictionary of international nomenclature , which is also called Feneis for short and has been published in over thirty languages.

Feneis was appointed professor in 1950, from 1955 to 1958 he was head of the anatomical institute. In 1969 Feneis became a full professor and in 1976 he retired.
