Heinz Gomoll

Heinz Gomoll (born July 14, 1907 in Essen , † December 26, 1942, died in the East) was a German librarian.

Life

Gomoll studied classical philology and German language and literature and passed the state examination in 1929. In 1933 he received his doctorate from the University of Bonn . In the same year he joined the Deutsche Bücherei Leipzig as a trainee, in 1935 he passed the library specialist examination. Around 1936 Gomoll moved to the works library of Friedrich Krupp AG in Essen, but returned to the Deutsche Bücherei in Leipzig in 1937, where he became an assistant librarian in 1939 before he was drafted as a soldier.
