Held is a work by the German comic artist Flix from 2002, which he submitted as a thesis. It is a partially autobiographical graphic novel . The story was continued in the 2004 comic book sag was . The conclusion of the trilogy was the comic girl , which appeared in 2006.

Held tells the life story of Felix, a child in the late 1970s. The author's life is reflected on until 2003, the year the “hero” comic was created , and there is an outlook on the future until his death.

publication

Held was originally planned as a four-part series by Zwerchfell Verlag . In the fall of 2002 the first part appeared under the title held - short pants wooden rifle . In 2003 the entire comic was published by Carlsen Verlag.

Prices

In 2003 Held received the ICOM Independent Comic Prize as “best funny”, and he was also awarded the 2003 lucky strike junior designer award at the Art Directors Club Germany's young talent competition.
