Helga Düchting

Helga Düchting (born February 3, 1937 in Andernach ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and an honorary citizen of the city of Bingen.

Life and work

Düchting obtained secondary school leaving certificate in 1953. She worked as a telecommunications assistant until 1962, after which she was a housewife.

politics

Düchting joined the SPD in 1971. From 1979 to 1991 she was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There she was Vice President of the State Parliament from 1990 until she left parliament. In 1990 she was elected deputy chairwoman of the SPD Rheinhessen. In 1992 she became an alderman of the Mainz-Bingen district .
