Helios (magazine)

Helios - independent monthly for natural lifestyle was a magazine for naturism that appeared between 1952 and 1965. It was published in collaboration with the Berlin Adolf Koch Institute . From 1949 to 1952 the sheet was published under the title Sonnenstrahl .

The main focus of the paper was on nudism , but there are also contributions that deal with other cultural or political topics.

Helios was published by Zitzmann-Verlag in Lauf an der Pegnitz . There were also editions in Danish, Norwegian, English, French and Swedish.

The magazine was subject to the ban on sale to young people by the law on the distribution of publications harmful to young people and was the subject of negotiations by the Federal Constitutional Court in 1971 on the constitutionality of the law, in which this was partially declared unconstitutional.
