The Helios Vogtland Klinikum Plauen is a hospital for specialist care in the Reusa district of Plauen . The Helios Kliniken clinic group is responsible for this .

history

The foundation of the St. Elisabeth Hospital dates back to 1255 and the foundation of the St. Johannis Hospital to 1322. In 1855 the two foundations of the St. Elisabeth and St. Johannis hospitals were merged under the name “United Aerar of the St. Elisabeth and St. Johannis Hospitals, now Stadtkrankenhausaerar”. On October 31, 1860, a new hospital was opened on Hammerstrasse. A few decades later it was too small. On December 7, 1889, the new hospital opened on Reichenbacher Strasse.

At the end of the Second World War, parts of the hospital were badly damaged.

In September 2006 the house came to Helios Kliniken.

The house has 620 beds and 33 semi-inpatient places.
