Helmut Kuhne
Helmut Kuhne (born September 6, 1949 in Soest ) was a Member of the European Parliament for the SPD in the Social Democratic Group in the European Parliament from 1994 to 2009 .
In the European Parliament, Helmut Kuhne was a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs , the Subcommittee on Security and Defense and the Delegation for Relations with the United States .
Career
- 1973: Sociologist
- 1994: Work at the Protestant grammar school in Lippstadt and in various adult education institutions, most recently as a research assistant at the State Institute for Schools and Further Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Soest (1974–?)
- Since October 2000 teaching position with interruptions at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Ruhr University Bochum
- 1974–1978: District chairman of the Young Socialists Western Westphalia
- 2000: Member of the SPD district executive committee for Western Westphalia (1978 to August 2000)
- 1984–1994: Member of the Soest district council
- 1999: Member of the Broadcasting Council of West German Broadcasting (1991 to the end of 1999)
