Helmut Weinberger

Helmut Weinberger (born January 30, 1932 in Wattens ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Weinberger was a member of the National Council from 1975 to 1990 .

Weinberger attended compulsory school and from 1946 worked as a factory worker. From 1959 he worked as a commercial clerk and head of the rationalization office BEDAUX and in 1964 took over the management of the personnel department at Bunzl & Biach AG. In addition to his professional activity, Weinberger was involved as a workers' works council between 1953 and 1957 and from 1964 was works council chairman for the employees of the Wattens paper mill. He also worked as a councilor for Wattens between 1968 and 1985, and from 1972 onwards he was the district executive and deputy chairman of the SPÖ Wattens. He was also a member of the regional party executive of the SPÖ Tirol, member of the regional management of the union of private employees for Tyrol and chamber councilor of the chamber for workers and employees for Tyrol. Furthermore, Weinberger was chairman of the SPÖ Wattens from 1977 and between 1986 and 1987 held the office of Second Vice Mayor of Wattens. Weinberger represented the SPÖ in the National Council from November 4, 1975 to November 4, 1990.
