Under hemimelia or Longitudinal meromelia refers to a congenital malformation with partial or total absence or significant reduction of the lower part of one or more limbs . The distal parts of the skeleton, i.e. the hand or foot, are also often affected in sections.

Classification

The names of the individual malformations depend on the affected bone.

  • Fibular hemimelia , synonyms: fibular longitudinal meromelia, congenital longitudinal reduction defect of the fibula
