Hendrik Wolter Broer , called Henk Broer, (born February 18, 1950 ) is a Dutch mathematician who deals with dynamic systems .

Broer received his doctorate in 1979 under Floris Takens at the University of Groningen ( Bifurcation of singularities in volume preserving vector fields ). He has been an associate professor ( Bijzonder Hogleraar ) since 1991 and professor at the University of Groningen since 2003.

Among other things, he deals with KAM theory .

In 2008 he became a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences .

Hinke Osinga is one of his PhD students .
