The two-storey house , set back from the street, was built in 1787 by the potter Johann Joachim Bahlke in half-timbered construction. A narrow extension was built facing the street. In 1866, a two-and-a-half-story, plastered extension was added, which was used for residential purposes. In addition, a boundary wall with a gate opening was built.
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 351.
