Henri Monnot took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris , where he competed in three competitions. As the skipper of his yacht Sarcelle, he failed to cross the finish line in the joint race, but was third in the first race in the boat class 0 to 0.5 tons . In the second race he missed another podium finish in fourth. The crew of the Sarcelle in all races included Léon Tellier and Gaston Cailleux .
