Henry Fawcett statue
The Henry Fawcett statue is a listed monument to the English politician and economist Henry Fawcett (1833-1884) in Salisbury , England .
It is in the center of Salisbury on the north side of the town's market square.
The memorial consists of a life-size bronze statue depicting Henry Fawcett . It was created by the sculptor Henry Richard Hope-Pinker and installed in 1887. The statue, facing north from the market square, stands on a stele made of polished granite, which in turn rests on a stepped base. On the north side of the granite stele is the inscription Henry Fawcett .
The statue has been listed as a monument since October 12, 1972 and is listed as a building of national importance and special interest in the Grade II category of the English list of monuments .
