The hill in the Neustadt-Nord district has an absolute height of 72.2 m above sea level. It rises approx. 25 m above its direct neighborhood. The Herkulesberg was laid out on an area of around 130,000 square meters, on which most of the inner city rubble was heaped up.
location
The Herkulesberg is located east of the Herkulesstraße between Innere Kanalstraße and Mediapark .
Others
The “Mont Klamott” is quoted in the Bläck-Fööss hit Mer losse d'r Dom en Kölle (November 1973): “D'r Mont Klamott dä heiss op eimol Zuckerhot . Do köm dat panorama hard en Brass ”(The Herkulesberg is suddenly called Sugar Loaf, so the Cologne city panorama would get into trouble).
