Hermann Benedict

Hermann Benedict ( November 8, 1852 - after 1910 ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Hermann Benedict was trained by Christian Puley and was engaged at the Stadttheater in Krefeld, Hoftheater in Oldenburg, the Kurtheater in Wildbad and the Stadttheater in Nuremberg until he joined the Association of the Karlsruhe Court Theater in 1884. Benedict plays dudes, nature boys and batches and has had some success. Among his repertoire are "pupils" in "Faust", "Junker Bleichenwang", "Lanzelot Gobbo", "Bellmaus", "Didier" in "Grille", "von Feldt" in "Veilchenfresser" etc. In 1907 he was still a member of the court theater in Karlsruhe. At that time he lived at Vorholzstrasse 35 and was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Zähringer Löwen. In 1910 he was still listed in the Court and State Manual of the Grand Duchy of Baden as a member of the Karlsruhe stage.
