Hermann Geyer (politician)

Hermann Geyer (born December 3, 1873 in Truckenstetten near Ferschnitz , † November 23, 1963 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and business owner . From 1919 to 1920 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria and from 1920 to 1934 a member of the national council .

Life

Geyer attended a three-class elementary school and then completed the agricultural training school. After completing his military service, in 1898 he took over his parents' farm in his home town of Truckenstetten, where he was deployed for 16 months in a railway security command during the First World War .

politics

He became involved in local politics as a local councilor from 1912, and in 1918 he became mayor of Truckenstetten. He was also a member of the Provincial Culture Council and represented the Christian Social Party from May 20, 1919 to November 1920 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and then moved from November 10, 1920 to May 2, 1934 as a member of the Christian Social Party in the National Council.
