Hermann Steidle (painter)

Hermann Steidle (born May 30, 1929 in Garmisch ) is a German painter and graphic artist.

Steidle studied in 1947/48 at the master school for Germany's book printers in Munich, from 1950 to 1955 at the Folkwang-Werkkunstschule in Essen and from 1955 to 1958 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy .

In 1959 he returned to the Folkwang School as a lecturer in writing. From 1973 he finally taught as a professor for printmaking at the University of Essen / Duisburg.
