Hermann Teuteberg

Hermann Teuteberg (born November 10, 1912 in Northeim ; † June 24, 1996 there ) was a German local politician ( SPD ). From 1964 to 1981 he was mayor of the southern Lower Saxony city ​​of Northeim.

Life

The master painter and SPD politician Teuteberg worked for over thirty years in various functions at the municipal level in the Northeim district. From December 3, 1952, he was a member of the Northeim City Council. First as a council member, from April 6, 1955 to September 30, 1964 as an alderman or senator and then again as a council member for almost three weeks before he was appointed mayor of Northeim on October 19, 1964. He held this position for a total of 17 years until October 31, 1981. At the same time, Teuteberg had also been a member of the district council since September 28, 1962, which he remained until October 8, 1986 after he left the office of mayor.
