Hermann Teuteberg
Hermann Teuteberg (born November 10, 1912 in Northeim ; † June 24, 1996 there ) was a German local politician ( SPD ). From 1964 to 1981 he was mayor of the southern Lower Saxony city of Northeim.
Life
The master painter and SPD politician Teuteberg worked for over thirty years in various functions at the municipal level in the Northeim district. From December 3, 1952, he was a member of the Northeim City Council. First as a council member, from April 6, 1955 to September 30, 1964 as an alderman or senator and then again as a council member for almost three weeks before he was appointed mayor of Northeim on October 19, 1964. He held this position for a total of 17 years until October 31, 1981. At the same time, Teuteberg had also been a member of the district council since September 28, 1962, which he remained until October 8, 1986 after he left the office of mayor.
