Hermann Zidler

Hermann Zidler (first mentioned in 1593 ; resident in Appenzell Rhode Lehn , from 1588 in Herisau ) was a Swiss Grand Councilor, Small Councilor, Landweibel and Landschreiber from the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden .

Life

Hermann Zidler was a son of Hermann Zidler, an infirmary nurse . Before 1570 he married Katharina Hornbog. He attended schools in Winterthur . From 1566 to 1567 he was a large councilor and from 1568 to 1575 a small councilor for the Rhode Lehn . From 1570 to 1575 he officiated as a country woman and from 1576 to 1579 and 1597 as a land clerk. After his father, a staunch supporter of the Reformation , narrowly escaped an attack motivated by religion and politics, Zidler moved to Reformed Herisau in 1588. From 1613 to 1619 he held the office of land clerk for the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .
