Duke of Saldanha (Duque de Saldanha) is a Portuguese hereditary nobility title since 1846. He was awarded to João Carlos de Saldanha Oliveira e Daun , and his descendants on November 4, 1846 by Queen Maria II . Since the third holder of the title, the dignity of a duke is no longer used. Instead, the family bears the title of Marquis of Saldanha (Marquês de Saldanha).
