The house at Hesekielstraße 11 is a listed building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the west side of Hesekielstraße in the Sudenburg district , opposite the confluence with Schöninger Straße.

Architecture and history

The narrow house with only three axes was built in 1893 for the master shoemaker Gustav Hey . The three and a half story yellow brick building has a shop on its ground floor. On the facade there are friezes, cornices and decorative ribbons made of red bricks. The window openings are designed as simple segment arched windows.

The ground floor was rebuilt later.

The building is seen as an important example of a simple residential building for workers and craftsmen in terms of social and urban history.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 82064 .
