Hideki Sahara ( Japanese 佐 原 秀 樹 , Sahara Hideki ; born May 15, 1978 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Sahara learned to play soccer on the school team at Toko Gakuen High School . He signed his first contract in 1997 with the Kawasaki Frontale . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . In 1999 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League . In 2000 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . At the end of the 2000 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. In 2004 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. In 2006 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. In 2007 he reached the final of the J.League Cup. For the club he completed 133 games. In 2008 he was loaned to the first division club J.League Cup. For the club, he completed 35 top division games. In 2010 he won the J.League Cup with the club. In 2010 he returned to Kawasaki Frontale. At the end of 2010 he ended his career as a football player.
