Descriptive geometry

In representational geometry , they are useful as orientation for constructions or perspective drawings. While these lines are not part of the actual drawing, auxiliary lines help to construct a figure.

Notes in music

In musical notation , they are used to represent tones that lie outside the lines of the notation system . They are used accordingly for particularly high or low tones.

In the piano etudes by Chopin , which the virtuoso "across the pianist Register hunt", there are numerous examples of the excessive use of guides, for example in the final of the Revolutionary Etude .

In order to use as few guidelines as possible, you can in some cases change the clef or add instructions for octaving .
