Hilmar Zigerlig (born January 28, 1946 in Switzerland ) is a former Swiss football player .

career

As a junior, Zigerlig played at FC Montlingen in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley .

His first stop in top football were the Grasshoppers , for whom he played as a defender from the 1964/65 season to 1966.

Then moved to the northern neighboring city to FC Winterthur , where he was mostly used in defensive midfield. In its first season, Winterthur was relegated. In the next season, however, Winterthur managed the direct promotion and reached the Cup final in the same season . Zigerlig played 104 games and scored seven goals in the five out of six seasons in which he played for Winterthur in the top division.

In 1972 Zigerlig moved from Winterthur back to Zurich, this time to FC Zurich (FCZ). He played for FCZ until 1977 and won three Swiss championships with the Zurich team (1974, 1975, 1976) and two cup winners (1973, 1976).

Zigerlig completed his career in 1977/78 with the Young Fellows Zurich . After retiring, he coached the Zurich district club FC Altstetten for years.
