Hilt Tatum

Oscar Hilt Tatum (born April 22, 1934 ) is an American dentist and implantologist who was best known for the first sinus lift operation in the mid-1970s.

Education and career

Tatum studied from 1953 to 1957 at the now defunct Emory University Dental School. In addition to numerous activities at international universities, he worked for 25 years at the Université Lille Nord de France in France. He also served as President of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry .

On June 16, 2003, he was appointed Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur by Jacques Chirac .
