Himmelsberga is a village belonging to the municipality of Borgholm on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea . It is known for the Öland Museum located here .

Himmelsberga is located on the east side of Öland, south of the road from Rälla to Långlöt , only about one kilometer west of Langlöt. The place has significantly fewer than 50 inhabitants (as of 2005). A road leads through Himmelsberga to Bjökerum in the south .

The village is laid out as a street village, with closed buildings on both sides of the village street dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. This construction, which is rich in tradition on Öland, has been so well preserved in Himmelsberga that the historical part of the village has been developed into an open-air museum . In the season there is also a catering service and a museum shop. Works by Öland artists are exhibited in an art hall integrated into the museum.

There are three of the typical Öland windmills in the village and its immediate surroundings.
