Hinn

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hinn is a supernatural being, which in Islamic popular belief is sometimes mentioned by Gahiz as a supernatural being alongside the jinns and satans . Sometimes they are considered to be beings who populated the earth before humans and the jinn and are assigned to the pre-Adamite cycle. Its essence is divided into: Hinn , Binn , Timm , Rimm , Dschann , Dschinn , Yunan .

According to Sibli , the Hinn are the dogs among the spirit beings. In a tradition attributed to Ibn Abbas and mentioned by Tabari , Hinn belonged to a tribe of angels or supported them in the fight against the unbelieving jinn. The Hinn, like the angels belonging to them, are said to have been created from the fire of the Samum (scorching embers), while the Jinn that populate the earth were created from marij min nar (smokeless flame or mixture of fire ).
