Historical association Kaiserslautern

The Historical Society of Kaiserslautern is a history society in Kaiserslautern and the district of Kaiserslautern and was founded in 1954.

Task and goals

The aim of the association is to promote research into history and folklore in the city and in the district of Kaiserslautern. At the same time, he sees his task in "strengthening awareness and understanding of historical knowledge and keeping alive the memory of Palatinate traditions and customs". This includes that the association publishes the “Kaiserslautern Yearbook for Palatinate History and Folklore” and, in cooperation with the Institute for Palatinate History and Folklore (Kaiserslautern), organizes lectures dealing with topics of Palatinate history. In addition, the association organizes excursions to the near and far surroundings of Kaiserslautern.

The Historical Association of Kaiserslautern is a district group of the Historical Association of the Palatinate .
