The historical shoe museum plant is a private museum in Landsberg am Lech .

In 1995, the master shoemaker Heinrich Plant, whose shoe store of the same name has been in the family since 1625, opened his private shoe museum.

In two rooms there are over 1500 historical and contemporary shoes from eight centuries. In addition to historical shoes and shoes from all over the world, the footwear of prominent personalities can be seen (e.g. Ludwig II of Bavaria , Elisabeth of Austria or Lothar Matthäus ). With over 500 shoehorns , it is the largest collection of shoehorns in the world.
