Hithouse was a music project by the Dutch singer , DJ , remixer and producer Peter Slaghuis , whose name arose from the translation of his family name Slaghuis into English - slag means hit, Huis means house.

Live and act

With Jack to the Sound of the Underground , Hithouse had a European hit in late 1988 / early 1989 . The title initially rose to position 14 in the UK charts , two months later also to the top 10 in Germany (position 6) and Switzerland (position 3).

The second single, Move Your Feet to the Rhythm of the Beat , also achieved notable success in 1989 in the German (26th) and British charts (69th). I've Been Waiting for Your Love only made 91st place in the UK a year later. Further commercial success under this name did not materialize.
