The Hiyama Prefecture Natural Park ( Japanese 檜 山道 立 自然 公園 , Hiyama dōritsu shizen kōen ) is a prefectural natural park in the southwestern part of Hokkaidō , Japan . It was founded in 1960 and is located in the area of municipalities Esashi , Kaminokuni , Okushiri , Otobe , Setana and Yakumo . Notable islands in the park are Okushiri-jima and Kamome-jima . With the IUCN Category V, the park area is classified as a Protected Landscape / Protected Marine Area . The Hokkaidō Prefecture is responsible for the management of the park.
