Hoba Miso (朴 葉 味噌) is a traditional dish from the Takayama area in northern Gifu Prefecture in Japan. The geographical distribution goes back to the former province of Hida .
preparation
Leek and mushrooms are placed on a leaf of the Honoki magnolia along with miso and heated together on a kind of table oven .
consumption
Hobamiso is eaten with rice.
