High three e. V. is an extracurricular educational institution and recognized provider of free youth welfare in Potsdam ( Brandenburg ). In its seminar and guest house Hochlland, the association primarily organizes multi-day political education seminars and international encounters for children and young people. The facility is u. a. Member of the Working Group of German Educational Institutions (AdB) .

history

High three e. V. started its educational work in 1998 in a 250 year old building in historic Potsdam. The name "Hochllandhaus" (with two "l") resulted from the club name "HochDrei" and the location in the Dutch quarter . In 2009, with the support of the German Youth Brand Foundation , the association acquired a building with a garden house in Holzmarktstrasse, near the Schiffbauergasse adventure district . In 2013, additional space was rented in a new building behind the Hochlland building.

Seminar house Hochlland

The seminar houses are at the end of a dead end street, directly on the Havel, within walking distance of Potsdam's old town. They have self-catering kitchens, an inner courtyard, and several seminar rooms. There are around 70 beds available in double and multi-bed rooms, each with a bathroom / toilet, which can also be booked by external groups.

Educational offers

The association organizes projects for children from 8 years and young people up to 30 years. In addition, there are regular events for political adult education, specialist programs in the field of youth education, as well as training to become team leaders in international youth exchanges. In addition to freely advertised offers, education-related class and group trips or international youth encounters are also organized through cooperation with schools and other institutions.

Focus

Many events take place binationally in German-Polish cooperation, especially with the youth education center MDSM Mikuszewo in Poland. Educational goals are the promotion of gender equality, participation and responsible, self-determined action. The offers are explicitly aimed at disadvantaged children and young people, whose participation is particularly supported.

financing

The majority of the events are funded by the German-Polish Youth Office and the Brandenburg Ministry for Education, Youth and Sport. High three e. V. is also a recognized sponsor of the Federal Agency for Civic Education . The association receives additional project funds through the Erasmus + YOUTH IN ACTION program , from the Brandenburg State Center for Civic Education , the Franco-German Youth Office or the Alliance for Brandenburg.
