The University of Church Music of the Evangelical Church of Silesian Upper Lusatia in Görlitz was a state-recognized institution of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia ; it was closed in 2008.

history

The church music school was founded in Breslau in 1927, and was re-established in Görlitz in 1947. Until 2000 it operated as the Evangelical Church Music School Görlitz , then it was converted into the College for Church Music of the Evangelical Church of Silesian Upper Lusatia , and later into the College for Church Music of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia . The university was closed on August 1, 2008.

The students included u. a. the Sorbian composer Jan Paul Nagel .
