The Hoechst-Haus is an office building on Steinplatz in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg . The listed building was designed by the architects Hans Geber and Otto Risse for the chemical company Farbwerke Hoechst AG and completed in 1955.

History, location and use

The building was built as the administrative headquarters for Farbwerke Hoechst. The ground floor is covered with slabs of shell limestone and the higher floors are clad with Trosselfels. The interior staircase is considered an outstanding construction of 1950s architecture. The entire building is on the Berlin list of monuments. It is located on the corner of Goethe at Hardenbergstrasse and was partially used by the TU Berlin until 2005 . Since 2006 the building has been the headquarters of VDI / VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH .
