Wang Court (Shanxi)

The court Wang is on the edge of the city Jingsheng in the Chinese province of Shanxi . It was the residence of the Wang merchant family and is considered to be one of the most important examples of civil architecture from the Qing dynasty .

The courtyard, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, consists of three large residential complexes, each with its own outer walls. The smallest is the eastern Gao Jia Ya, which is used to enter the complex. From there, a bridge leads to the Hong Men Bu (Red Gate Fort). In the west is the third residential complex, Chong Ning Bu. South of Hong Men Bu is Wang's Ancestral Hall. Overall, the courtyard area takes up around 15 hectares and includes 231 courtyard houses with 2078 rooms.

Wang Farm is open to tourists.
