Hoffmann 2CV convertible

The Hoffmann 2CV Cabrio is a conversion based on the Citroën 2CV (also called duck ).

Wolfgang Hoffmann developed the design and the first prototype in 1988 . The convertible conversion is designed as a kit and so many Hoffmann 2CV convertibles were reworked on their own. By the end of 2007, around 250 professionally manufactured vehicles had left the Hohenfurch plant .

The conversion kit consists of a rear section made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic with a tubular steel reinforcement frame, two side windows, convertible top , trunk lid and all the necessary small parts such as screws, nuts, hinges, etc.

To date, around 1700 vehicles of this type have been registered in Europe , mainly in Germany and France , the home country of the 2CV. A few vehicles were delivered to Japan or the USA .
