Hope Church Rheindorf

The Hope Church is a Protestant church in the Leverkusen district of Rheindorf . It was the seat of the parish of the same name until December 31, 2019 and since January 1, 2020 part of the parish “An Dhünn, Wupper and Rhein”, both in the Evangelical Church District of Leverkusen .

history

At the end of 2001, the presbytery decided to sell the properties of the Paul Gerhardt Church and Lukas Church and use the proceeds to build a new community center. The foundation stone for the church building according to the design of the architect Wolfgang Zelck took place on April 28, 2005. The inauguration took place on August 27, 2006. Since June 2008 there has been a columbarium in the church tower of the Hope Church . There is space for two urns each in the 194 compartments.
