Court Opera
A court opera is a court theater that played court operas . It was subordinate to a princely court .
Up until the end of the First World War in 1918, many of the opera houses that still exist today were called Hofoper and not all of them were freely accessible (see court ability ). With the change of ownership after the abdication of the aristocracy, they were subsequently renamed State Opera , Municipal Opera, etc. Some court operas , such as the Paris Opera , were civicized as early as the 19th century.
