Court right

The Lex Familiae (mhd. Hovereht, hofsbrauch u. Ä .; lat. Jus curiae, lex familiae) governed in medieval times the legal relations of landlords to his servants and serfs and the latter with each other with regard to pay and Gutsverhältnisse. On the one hand, the court law included the service law, service man law, d. H. the right of the knightly servants and officials, on the other hand also the peasant court right, which existed for the unfree or courtly peasants. Court law also included jurisdiction over the people belonging to the court. One example is the annual Bauding .

The court law is not to be confused with the court law , the basic and inheritance law of farmers.
