Ermyntrude Harvey

Ermyntrude Hilda Harvey (born June 9, 1895 in London , † October 4, 1973 in Weybridge ) was a British tennis player from England in the 1920s and 1930s.

Career

In 1925 Harvey reached the final in mixed at the Wimbledon Championships with Vincent Richards , they were defeated by Kathleen McKane Godfree and Jack Hawkes . In 1927 she won with McKane Godfree at the US tennis championships (now US Open ), the competition in women's doubles. They defeated Betty Nuthall and Joan Fry in the final 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.

In individual, she achieved her best result in the 1928 Wimbledon tournament when she made it to the round of 16. In 1935 she was in the final of the British Indoor Championships , which she lost to Peggy Scriven . She last competed at Wimbledon in 1939.
