Kathleen McKane Godfree
Kathleen "Kitty" McKane Godfree (born May 7, 1896 in London , † June 19, 1992 ibid) was an English badminton and tennis player . She was the sister of Margaret Stocks .
She won the women's singles in 1924 and 1926 at Wimbledon . In the same years she was the only tennis player to win the mixed competition together with her husband Leslie Godfree . At the Olympic Games in 1920 and 1924 she won a total of 5 medals, including gold in women's doubles in 1920. In 1978, Kitty McKane Godfree was inducted into the Hall of Fame of tennis.
In badminton, she won mixed at All England with Frank Devlin in 1924 and 1925 , singles in 1920, 1921, 1922 and 1924, and women's doubles in 1921 and 1924.
