Holger Kuttroff
Holger Kuttroff (born September 10, 1969 in Esslingen am Neckar ; † July 13, 2010 there ) was considered one of the most successful powerlifters in Germany.
Life
Holger Kuttroff began his original athletic career as a BMX -Fahrer in Aichwald, before then switching to the weight training took place. He was active in the powerlifter scene for over 20 years and achieved extensive success. He was already champion of Baden-Württemberg in the junior class before he was active in the powerlifting Bundesliga. Kuttroff was not only considered an exceptional athlete in Germany. He was u. a. three times European champion, won the 2001 World Championship at the WPC Association (World Powerlifting Championship) and in 2003 reached the WPO (World Powerlifting Organization) final in Atlanta, USA.
With 459 kg in the squat, he also set a new world record at the 2003 German WPC championship.
He died of a heart attack at the age of 40 during a training session in his long-time studio Pigs Point , Esslingen am Neckar.
