Dutch windmill Koßdorf
The listed Dutch windmill Koßdorf is located in the Koßdorf district of the southern Brandenburg town of Mühlberg in the Elbe-Elster district . The mill was built in 1912 after the windmill of the family burned Humpisch on March 12, 1912 and was put into operation on 12 December of the same year. The mill property has been owned by the Humpisch family since 1830. The mill is in operation and supplies bakeries in the area.
Technical specifications
The Dutch windmill has two roller mills , a four-part plansifter and pneumatic conveying.
history
After it was put into operation in 1912, the mill only stood still from 1915 to 1918 because the miller was at war. An electric motor was installed in 1919 to help, so that the mill was driven with wind on windy days and with an electric motor on calm days. The wing cross was reapplied in 1920, 1930, 1946 and 1966. Electricity has been used exclusively since 1965 and the rods have only been idling since then. The full blinds and the wind rose are still preserved.
Mill opening times
Mill tours are only possible after prior registration.
The older mill history of the place
A map by Schenk from 1781 shows two mills for Koßdorf, one of which is probably assigned to Lehndorf, which was incorporated in 1937. The 1,912 spent Bockwindmühle family Humpisch had a meal and a shot transition and could in about 100 t grain to flour and up to 150 t for feed meal process. At the beginning of the 20th century, apart from this mill, there was also the mill of the Scholz family in the district of Wenzendorf, which was incorporated in 1937.
