Holomorphs

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In mycology, the holomorph is the name of a pleomorphic type of fungus (with the exception of the lichens ) with all its fructification forms, such as the teleomorphs as the main fruit form with meiospore formation and at least one anamorph as a minor fruit form with mitospore formation or completely without spores.

An example of a holomorphic species is the kerosene mushroom : teleomorphic form Amorphotheca resinae , anamorphic form Hormoconis resinae .
