Hon chi fun

Hon Chi Fun ( Chinese  韓志勳 , Pinyin Hán Zhìxūn ; * 1922 in Hong Kong ) is an abstract Chinese painter and graphic artist. He belongs to the circle of the most important abstract painters in China.

Life

In 1956, Hon began self-taught with abstract oil sketches. His work was first exhibited in a group exhibition in Hong Kong in 1958. He was also a participant in the 1st Hong Kong Start Festival in Hong Kong. Then he began to work in more depth in abstract terms and incorporated Chinese characters into his work. In 1960 his work was exhibited in the Chatman Gallery in Hong Kong. 1965 began his rich graphic work. In 1969 he received the JM Rockefeller Fund grant . This scholarship enabled him to travel extensively internationally between 1970 and 1978, and in 1988 he exhibited at the Feng Ping Shan Museum . In 1988 the documentary Hon's Orbit was produced by the Hong Kong Art Museum. In 1992 the company moved to Canada . 1995 Solo exhibition at the Feng Ping Shan Museum in Hong Kong. In 2000 one of the documentary Hons Àrt about the production of graphics was produced by the Heritage Museum in Hong Kong. Today Hon Chi Fun lives in Hong Kong again.
