Hongya (Meishan)

Hongya County ( Chinese  洪雅 县 , Pinyin Hóngyǎ Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Meishan in the Chinese province of Sichuan . It has an area of ​​1,948.43 square kilometers and has a population of 340,000 (2004). Its main town is Hongchuan (洪川 镇). The place is on the southwestern edge of the Sichuan basin.
